Terms

Updated October 18, 2026

These terms cover the Kanji Bento website and explain use of the app. The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, linked below. Contact contact@ohm.software for support.

Using Kanji Bento

Kanji Bento provides Japanese study material for personal learning. Use the app and website lawfully and do not interfere with their operation, misuse support, or redistribute protected material without permission. Your own notes remain yours.

Free access and Kanji Bento Plus

Version 1.3 includes N5 Chapter 1 and the complete Hiragana and Katakana courses. A one-time purchase of Kanji Bento Plus unlocks the remaining N5 chapters and every chapter from N4 to N1. U.S. price. Apple shows your local price and any taxes before you buy. It’s a single payment: no subscription, nothing to renew or cancel, and Kanji Bento Plus stays unlocked for good.

Payment, restoring and refunds

Apple charges your Apple Account once and manages the purchase. Kanji Bento Plus belongs to the Apple Account that bought it: on another device, open Settings › Kanji Bento Plus in Kanji Bento and tap Restore Purchases. Deleting the app or resetting data does not remove the purchase. Kanji Bento Plus is not shared through Family Sharing. The app no longer offers the Kanji Bento Plus subscriptions sold before version 1.2; anyone who bought one keeps Kanji Bento Plus at no extra cost. Refund requests are handled by Apple, subject to applicable law.

Study content and availability

Readings and translations are learning aids and may contain errors. Please report corrections. JLPT level labels are study groupings, not an official syllabus, endorsement or promise of exam success. The kanji and kana lists on this website are provided for personal study. Features may depend on your iOS or iPadOS version, installed voices, connectivity and Apple services. We may update content or features; any changes to paid access remain subject to applicable consumer rights and Apple’s terms.

Responsibility and your rights

Keep an export of learning data you want to preserve. The website is provided as available; no promise is made that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here excludes rights, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, or responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to limit. The app’s license and related rights are governed by Apple’s Standard EULA.

Changes and contact

Revised terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Changes do not remove rights you already have under applicable law. For questions about these terms, contact contact@ohm.software.
